Offers of papers are invited for the annual Spring Colloquium of the UK and Ireland section of the Theodor Fontane Gesellschaft, on:
Tuesday 16 June 2026, in Parliament Hall, University of St Andrews.
Papers are invited on any aspect of Fontane’s work, or on nineteenth-century literature more broadly. Comparative papers are also warmly invited, and the papers can be in English or German.

Since its inception over 30 years ago, the Frühjahrstreffen has established itself as an engaging yet convivial day conference on Fontane and nineteenth-century German literature, attracting papers from national and international speakers, with a wide variety of topics and approaches.
